About our School:
St. Michael's Catholic Preparatory School is an outstanding co-educational Independent Catholic school serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade on two adjacent campuses in Austin, Texas. Primary Responsibilities
St. Michael's Prep is seeking activity bus drivers to transport students to both local and out-of-town-events. This is a part-time non-exempt hourly position. Upon hire, the candidate will report to the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs, Transportation and Asset Management.
Job Details:
  • Drive students to both local and out-of-town events. These events include but are not limited to: athletic events and competitions, retreats, and academic field trips as needed.
  • Routes will include trips to Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, as well as various locations in and around Austin. Local trips will be a minimum of four (4) hours.
  • The driver's schedule will depend on the schedule of events, but is usually scheduled a minimum of two (2) weeks prior.

Requirements
Required Experience, Degree, and Skills:
  • Qualified candidates must have valid CDL class B with P endorsement.
  • Candidates also must have at least one (1) verifiable year of experience operating a bus or comparable vehicle.
  • Candidates must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes and be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check (fingerprinting) and drug test.
