Job Purpose & Scope

Provide support to the Commercial Banking team regarding loan production and related banking services to foster and deepen the Commercial and Consumer relationships, while handling a greater and more complex workload.  This role requires increased independence in execution with minimal oversight, while continuing to foster internal collaboration that aligns with the OZK Way and Commercial Bank Vision Statement.


Essential Job Functions
  1. Administer various loan documentation and information throughout the loan life cycle, including escalating items as necessary to provide excellent client experiences.
  2. Promote relationship excellence between clients, Commercial Bankers and Business Partners.
  3. Serve as the first point of contact for all internal and external calls.
  4. Stay current with Bank products and services to identify and anticipate client needs.
  5. Timely coordination with appraisal services, attorneys, environmental service providers, title companies, insurance companies, and other third-party providers.
  6. Facilitate and coordinate the loan process, including loan application, funding, advances, issue payoff quotes, manage releases, and general ledger management.
  7. Review loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
  8. Compile reports including the Past Due Report, Maturity Report, Collateral Exception Report, Financial Exception Report, Discrepancy Report, and others.
  9. Assemble and maintain loan files.
  10. Prepare and mail correspondence as required.
  11. Provide support to other business lines as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  1. Demonstrated knowledge of all elements required to close a loan.
  2. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of loan application software.
  3. Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, financial documentation, covenants, and loan documentation.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  5. Ability to handle confidential information
  6. Ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple priorities.
  7. Ability to perform with less reliance on supervisor’s support.
  8. Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  9. Ability to demonstrate problem solving ability.
  10. Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  11. Ability to succeed in a team environment.
  12. Ability to produce high volume and credible work with attention to detail.
  13. Ability to produce time sensitive work, consistently meeting deadlines.
  14. Skill in using computer and Microsoft office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Basic Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Minimum two (2) years of lending support experience required.
  3. Minimum two (2) years’ experience with computers, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, required.
