The Laundry Assistant maintains a high level of housekeeping cleanliness in assigned areas while providing outstanding customer service for owners and guests.
What you're great at:
  • Responsibilities listed may not apply to all locations
  • Reports for duty on time and in uniform
  • Operates washers and dryers, loading and unloading, cleaning filters as necessary
  • Sorts linens that are heavily soiled, unable to be cleaned and unsuitable for use to be utilized as cleaning rags, and records totals of all soiled linens
  • Folds all linens and stores by category in neat stacks
  • Reports any malfunctions to supervisor
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of storage area at all times
  • Records monthly linen inventory
  • Advises supervisor of linen shortages, detergent, and categories that need purchasing
  • Organizes the allocation of linens to each room attendant
  • Keeps1st-floor closet stocked
  • Assists with housekeeping duties when needed as follows:
  • Cleans guest rooms, lobby, and corridors
  • Cleans service and vending areas
  • Collects trash throughout the property
  • Cleans restrooms generally and replenishes supplies
  • Assists team members as needed and helps cover shifts and clean rooms when needed
  • Performs outdoor maintenance work as directed
  • Participates in special cleaning projects as directed
  • All other duties as assigned by management
