Job description

Starr Pass Golf Club, located in Tucson, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Pickleball Program Coordinator! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fastpaced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

The Pickleball Program Coordinator will be a key member of the opening team, responsible for launching and growing a dynamic pickleball program that delivers exceptional experiences for both club members and resort guests. This role will create a welcoming, energetic atmosphere through high-quality instruction, clinics, cardio pickleball, leagues, social events, and tournaments for players of all skill levels.
The Pickleball Program Coordinator will foster engagement, build community, and promote participation while supporting daily court operations and delivering outstanding hospitality. Success will be measured by program growth, member and guest satisfaction, and the creation of a fun, active pickleball culture that enhances the club experience.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead a range of instructional programs for all skill levels and age
  • Teach private and group lessons, clinics, and workshop
  • Assist in organizing leagues, socials, and tournaments (minimum of 2 tournaments and 6–8 social events per year
  • Lead and participate in Open Play sessions to encourage engagement and identify coaching opportunitie
  • Provide member ratings and personalized coaching plan
  • Collaborate with management and the Court Sports Committee to promote offering
  • Keep online calendars (Club Essentials) and bulletin boards up to dat
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of courts and equipmen
  • Help enforce guest policies and support bocce programmin
  • Additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • USAPA certification (or equivalent
  • Minimum 4.5 playing level
  • Previous experience coaching players of varying skill level
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer system
  • Available for evenings and weekends as needed
