ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Promotes and enhances image of First Federal in all business activities within our markets. Prospects for new business customers and develops new relationships. Analyzes the credit history of applicants and determines their loan repayment capabilities. Negotiates credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods and collateral specifications. Evaluates potential customer loan requests and makes loan recommendations to management. Reviews new laws and regulations that influence business lending within the financial institution; makes recommendations to management when necessary. Develops new small business customer prospects for the financial institution. Will be responsible for quality loan growth. Responsible for presenting a positive image of the SBA/USDA program and the bank in the communities we serve. Has extensive knowledge in SBA/USDA lending. Source qualified customers for the program. Receive SBA/USDA applications and all of the supporting documents. Conduct initial and periodic site visits of the various branch offices and speak at seminars with potential customers. Conduct background checks of the business and guarantors using various resources sufficient to make determination of the applicant's character. Produce overall results of financial analysis. Complete narrative of credit, character, and quality analysis. This position may manage other lenders or assistants. Has demonstrated the ability to have lending authority and has been granted such authority by the board. Assists manager in product development and service delivery to ensure superior customer satisfaction and bank profitability. Assists manager in meeting the requests of the bank's most profitable customers. Serve as relationship manager to all new and inherited business customers. Possess the capability to implement/install the bank's computer software systems that will enhance customer's relationship. Serve as a business "consultant" with no managerial liability. Verify accuracy of closing documents prior to execution, including conformance with approval. Learn other government guaranteed commercial lending programs and become the bank expert. Provides the best service to our customers with innovative and creative solutions.
In addition to the above duties, at the direction of management the banker may be asked to identify potential banks in their market and surrounding markets for SBA Works, a division of First Federal Bank, to solicit lender service provider contracts.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


Bachelor's degree in business finance, or related field or 10 years banking experience and 10 years in SBA/USDA experience. Financial sales capability. Good communication, public relations skills, computer and research skills. Ability to deal with time constraints and strong attention to detail. Extended hours sitting and performing computer tasks may be required. Employees confirm they are able to perform the essential functions of this position to continue employment with First Federal Bank.
