The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Pharmacy Data Analyst to analyze large-scale pharmacy and claims datasets, generate insights, and support data-driven decision making across pharmacy operations and healthcare programs. The role involves managing pharmacy claims, prescription validation, and healthcare data across EHR/Pharmacy Information Systems, with a strong focus on Power BI-based reporting and dashboarding to enable data-driven insights.

Work You'll Do

  • Analyze pharmacy claims datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and cost drivers
  • Evaluate pharmacy benefit utilization, including unit cost and trend drivers, rebate impact, and 340B programs
  • Partner with internal data and analytics teams to develop standardized processes, reusable queries, and data workflows
  • Support pharmacy plan, client, and contract configuration activities through analytic review, testing, and validation of claim outcomes
  • Validate data quality, completeness, and reasonableness of results
  • Handle pharmacovigilance data management, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and manage data within EHR (Electronic Health Records) and Pharmacy Information Systems
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor pharmacy operations, claims trends, compliance metrics, and KPIs
  • Lead pharmacy analytics workstreams from data intake through insight delivery and stakeholder presentation
  • Provide ongoing regulatory and compliance support, including audits and reporting
  • Drive project timelines, key deliverables, and issue resolution across cross-functional teams
  • Identify discrepancies between configured logic and paid claim results
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in pharmacy data analysis, PBM, payer, or related healthcare roles
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy claims management and payer processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard creation, DAX, data modeling, and Power BI Service (workspaces, publishing, refresh schedules)
  • Understanding of pharmacovigilance data and healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Ability to independently analyze data and explain pharmacy KPIs and findings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with major drug compendia and reference databases, including NCPDP, Medi-Span, First Databank, CMS ASP and other public-use files, NPPES and other provider reference sources
  • Understands claims logic and how to identify final status of claims
  • Strong working knowledge of pharmacy claims data and concepts such as formularies, benefit designs, networks, and reimbursement
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

The estimated base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000. In addition to this base salary, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is a part of a competitive, total compensation package together with our majority employer-paid benefits and incentive pay for eligible roles. Please note that this range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary due to numerous factors, including but not limited to experience level, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
