Who We Are Looking For:
HomeWell Care Services is a new in-home care agency based in Everett, Washington, serving communities throughout Snohomish County and the North Sound region, including Everett, Marysville, Lake Stevens, Monroe, and Bothell. We will also provide care services in select Eastside communities, including Kirkland and Kenmore.
We are looking for compassionate, reliable Caregivers who take pride in providing hands-on, in-home care that helps our clients maintain dignity, safety and independence at home. The ideal candidate is a dependable team player who treats every client like family.
Caregiver Summary:
The Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a Care Manager to provide personal care and support services that meet each client's individual needs. The Caregiver is assigned to clients in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of care, and delivers services in alignment with HomeWell's mission and standards of care. The Caregiver does not perform tasks that constitute the practice of nursing, including administering medications or physician-ordered procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข High school diploma or GED
โ€ข Current Washington State Home Care Aid (HCA) certification or actively in training towards this
โ€ข Current CPR certification
โ€ข Current physical and/or negative TB test, if applicable
โ€ข Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance
โ€ข Minimum of one year of documented caregiving experience
โ€ข Able to read, write and communicate effectively with clients, families and staff
โ€ข Self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision
โ€ข Genuine empathy for clients; treats clients, families and coworkers with courtesy and respect
โ€ข Works well as a member of a care team and maintains confidentiality of client medical information
โ€ข Willing to travel locally/regionally to client homes
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide Assistance with Daily Living (ADL), Companionship and Respite care as directed by the Client Care Plan
โ€ข Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing and toileting
โ€ข Perform light housekeeping, including bed linens, and keep the client's space clean and safe
โ€ข Prepare meals, clean up afterward, and assist with feeding as needed.
โ€ข Provide medication reminders to support self-administration
โ€ข Support skin care and repositioning to help prevent skin breakdown
โ€ข Assist with active and passive range-of-motion exercises per the client's care plan
โ€ข Assist with walking, transferring, and transportation to appointments and errands
โ€ข Record vital signs, height, weight and intake/output as required
โ€ข Follow infection control precautions and use equipment properly and safely
โ€ข Respond rapidly and appropriately to emergency situations
โ€ข Promote a safe environment and quality care by following agency policies and procedures
โ€ข Uphold client rights, including privacy, dignity, consent, and confidentiality of information
Compensation:
Total compensation includes wages, benefits plus performance bonuses.
โ€ข Wages -$22 - $27 per hour, depending on experience and credentials

o PTO - 2 weeks for 1st year; PTO accrues with each hour worked; PTO accruals increases with additional years of service with the agency
