Job description

Summary:

This position is responsible for the efficient operation of all kitchen systems, a positive atmosphere, and a lasting impression to all guests with our highest standards in taste, presentation and consistency of our menu items.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive, teamwork-focused kitchen environment and communicate professionally with the Food & Beverage team
  • Prepare, assemble, and execute menu items for dine-in, take-out, banquets, and plated service according to chef standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment including grills, flattop, fryers, and pizza ovens safely and efficiently
  • Follow recipes, prep sheets, kitchen manuals, and established procedures to ensure consistent food quality and cost control
  • Maintain high food safety standards, including proper sanitation, dish pit operations, stock rotation, storage, and temperature control
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen; complete daily cleaning, equipment logs, and side duties
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and verifying product quality and quantities
  • Complete opening and closing duties in accordance with Kitchen Standard Operating Procedures
  • Comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and promote a safe working environment

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about great food with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork
  • Willingness to learn new skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong time management skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Minimum 6 months of prior kitchen experience (12 years as a line cook preferred)
  • Food Handler/Food Safety Certification required or willingness to obtain; WHMIS training required (First Aid an asset)
  • Available to work flexible shifts
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

Working Conditions:

  • Bending, lifting, extended periods of standing

Reason for Vacancy:
