Job description

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations during designated shifts, supervise team members and ensure that our guests receive outstanding service. The Assistant Managers responsibilities may include creating a schedule, counting and reviewing inventory, placing food orders, hiring new team members, delegating tasks, handling cash and reporting any issues to the general manager.

To be successful as an Assistant Manager, you should be able to manage a team of people and ensure that all duties are performed accurately. Ultimately, an Assistant Manager must be able to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising team members, assigning duties, and creating a schedule.
  • Placing accurate food orders.
  • Performing inventory counts and reviewing for accuracy.
  • Hiring new team members.
  • Monitoring team performance and ensuring duties are performed efficiently.
  • Reporting any issues that arise during the shift to management.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, health, and safety standards.
  • Coaching team members and on-going training and developing.
  • Opening and closing the restaurant, line checks, station preparedness and preparing cash deposits.
  • Handling guest complaints and team member disputes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Previous experience as a restaurant shift leader or manager.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Confident problem-solver.
