The Quality Inspector plays a hands-on role in ensuring rolled, machined, and fabricated products meet customer requirements and internal quality standards, while supporting production flow on the manufacturing floor.
What You'll Do
• Perform dimensional, physical, and visual inspections of manufactured product
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and automated inspection equipment (CMMs, laser flatness testing, surface perthometers)
• Conduct ultrasonic and dye penetrant inspections, as required
• Complete first article inspections prior to full-scale production
• Accurately document inspection results and production data in SAP and related systems
• Support production schedules by completing inspections on time and moving product efficiently to the next work center
• Follow all quality, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Manufacturing or machining experience preferred
• Working knowledge of GD&T
• Ability to interpret inspection data and explain results clearly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification or willingness to obtain
• Willingness to obtain ultrasonic and dye penetrant inspection certifications, if required
