What you'll be doing: QA Inspector Performs in process and final inspections using any manner of gaging needed, maintains quality records, assists Quality Auditor with duties, as necessary.

  • Utilize precision measuring devices and electronic test equipment to ensure compliance of product with customer specifications. Equipment includes but is not limited to: Vision System, Optical Comparator, RAM, Hardness tester, and hand held gages.
  • Maintain inspection records.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and conduct oneself in a way as to not endanger oneself or fellow employees.
  • Must be able to do the following with adequate training, instruction and experience:
  • Identify defective material and/or product with assistance if necessary
  • Make decisions as to acceptability of appearance and performance of product with assistance if necessary
  • Determine acceptable deviation from specifications or tolerances
  • Complete Non-Conforming material report and tag product
  • May be assigned to perform specialized quality tests to determine conformance to specific customer requirements.
  • Will be required to conduct or participate in any of the following:
  • Gaging studies (Gage R&R) and Gage Calibration
  • ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 Audits
  • Quality System Procedure Development
  • Customer complaint investigation
  • Quality Report preparation
  • Interact with SPC and Oasis measurement software

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior inspection experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications a plus.
  • Must be able to complete additional training courses when assigned.
  • Ability to use DOS based touch-screen computer.
  • Must have working knowledge of Windows based software.
