Job description

Introduction:

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this First Article Inspection Specialist position. This position is a contract to direct opportunity which is expected to be on-site in Middletown, CT.

Summary:

The First Article Inspection Specialist will be responsible for all First Article Inspections (FAIs) meet customer requirements, productivity, and quality expectations. Provide support to Quality and Program Management
Shift: 6:30 - 3:00 PM - Monday to Thursday
Responsibilities:
  • Create FAIs as per AS9102 and customer requirements. Using technical knowledge and experience, interpret drawing requirements and accuracy for first-run orders and drawing revisions. Identify missing or erroneous information and verify that all drawing and specification requirements are met on FAIs.
  • Perform part inspections related to FAI.
  • Create work instructions detailing standard work for FAI related processes.
  • Provide direction and train other team members as needed.
  • Make recommendations for improvements contribute to 5S program in work area.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety and environmental incidents to supervisor.
  • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Accomplish related results as needed.

Requirements:
  • Education: AS Degree in Industrial Technology or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience: 6-10 years of creating FAIs and/or as a part inspector.
