Job Title: Nurse's Aide/Clerk

High school diploma or GED. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Must have CPR and First Aid certificate. Type 40 wpm and general clerical skills including filing, record keeping and computer usage. Typing test required. Ability to render first aid, function adequately in emergency situations, and work harmoniously with children, staff, and others.

Job Goal:

To manage all aspects of the school health office for the health and welfare of the students.

Essential Functions/Performance Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all aspects of the school health office for the health and welfare of the students.
  2. Assists with the preparation and maintenance of health
  3. Types or hand prepares forms, letters, reports, and requirements as directed by the school
  4. Handles telephone communications, makes appointments for the nurse's
  • Assists with health appraisal activities such as growth evaluation, vision, hearing, scoliosis, and other appraisals.
