Group Fitness Instructor

Location: Nellis Air Force Base – Warrior Fitness Center, Las Vegas, NV
Position Type: Part-Time / On-Call / Substitute Opportunities Available

Position Summary

GD Resources LLC is seeking qualified and certified Group Fitness Instructors to provide professional group exercise instruction at the Warrior Fitness Center located at Nellis Air Force Base. Instructors may teach one or multiple approved fitness formats based on their certifications, experience, and qualifications.

  • Boot Camp
  • Yoga
  • Insanity / High-Intensity Interval Training
  • Pilates
  • Core & Abs
  • Zumba
  • MIXXEDFIT
  • Prenatal/Postpartum Cardio, Strength, and Yoga

Candidates with certifications or experience across multiple class formats are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct safe, professional, and engaging group fitness classes.
  • Teach classes lasting approximately 45–60 minutes.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled class times for check-in and setup.
  • Conduct a safety briefing at the beginning of each class.
  • Maintain participant attendance/sign-in documentation.
  • Properly set up and return fitness equipment after each class.
  • Use appropriate, non-offensive music without profanity.
  • Immediately report injuries, equipment problems, or other class-related concerns.
  • Follow Warrior Fitness Center policies, procedures, dress requirements, and installation security regulations.
  • Provide substitute coverage when available and qualified for the scheduled class format.
Required Qualifications
  • Current fitness instructor certification from an Air Force-approved/accredited organization appropriate to the classes being taught.
  • Any required specialty certification or training for the applicable fitness format.
  • Current First Aid certification.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS/AED OR American Red Cross CPR/AED certification.
  • Ability to provide copies of all required certifications before being scheduled to teach.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Nellis Air Force Base.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Dependable transportation and ability to consistently report for scheduled classes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in multiple group fitness formats.
  • Previous experience teaching group fitness classes.
  • Experience working in military, government, corporate, or large fitness facilities.
  • Flexible availability for early morning, daytime, evening, and weekend classes.
  • Ability to serve as an on-call or substitute instructor.
Schedule

Classes may be scheduled during Warrior Fitness Center operating hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM–9:00 PM
  • Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Actual instructor schedules will vary based on Government class requirements and instructor qualifications.
