CPA Firm Administrator
Job Summary
The Firm Administrator position encompasses a wide range of activities with involvement in all phases of administration, personnel, finances, facilities, and marketing. The Firm Administrator works closely with the Managing Partner on firm-wide policy setting, complex problem solving and decision making. The person is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the day-to-day operations of the firm, and for directing the implementation of firm policies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working directly with the partners and the extended management team to enable efficient, cost-effective operation of the firm
Working closely with the managing partner on short term and long range strategic plans based on firm wide goals and growth objectives
Identifying problems and opportunities as well as prioritizing and facilitating their resolution
Facilitating management's ability to perform at their best and to build relationships with staff and clients
Continuously enhance firm's reputation in the community and the field, enabling community involvement and recognition
Lead day-to-day operations of the firm
Management of the following areas:
Administration
Finance
Human Resources
Technology
Operations
Marketing
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
Seven (7) years minimum experience as Firm Administrator or similar role at a professional services firm; CPA firm experience preferred.
Demonstrate high proficiency in MS-Office, including excellent writing and proofreading skills, and mail merge.
Proficiency in use of databases, particularly in data entry, data extraction, report creation and customization. CCH Practice Management experience preferred.
Excellent command of the English language, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and business writing.
Professional, reliable, personable, tactful, efficient, and self-motivated.
