Description Overview

The Sr Information Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise security controls across network, identity, endpoint, cloud, and privileged access domains. This role supports both operational security and strategic initiatives to enhance the organization's overall cybersecurity posture.

This position may be filled at either a mid-level or senior level, depending on experience. Senior candidates will be expected to take on broader design responsibilities and lead initiatives.

Scope of the Role

Security Engineering & Operations

  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise security controls across network, endpoint, identity, and cloud environments
  • Monitor and continuously improve the effectiveness of security controls and tooling
  • Support incident response activities, including investigation and remediation efforts

Network Security

  • Configure and maintain firewall policies across Palo Alto and Cisco firewall platforms
  • Support network segmentation strategies, including DMZ and internal segmentation design
  • Perform rule reviews, audits, and optimization to reduce risk and improve security posture

Identity & Access Security

  • Implement and support Cisco ISE for network access control and authentication
  • Support secure access initiatives leveraging Cisco Secure Internet Access

Endpoint & Threat Protection

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain the CrowdStrike Falcon platform
    • Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)
    • Identity Protection
    • Threat intelligence integrations
  • Support threat detection, analysis, and response improvements

Cloud Security (Azure)

  • Design and implement Azure-native security controls, including:
    • Network Security Groups (NSGs)
    • Azure Firewall
    • Web Application Firewalls (WAFs)
  • Support secure cloud architecture patterns and zero trust principles
Experience Required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Mid-Level: 3-5+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience
  • Senior-Level: 7+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with design/lead responsibility
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security principles and practices

Desired Technical Experience

  • Cisco ISE (Network Access Control)
  • Cisco Secure Access (SASE / Zero Trust)
  • CrowdStrike Falcon suite
  • Palo Alto and/or Cisco Firewalls (NGFW/ASA)
  • Azure security services (NSGs, Azure Firewall, WAFs)
  • Cloudflare (WAF, CDN, Zero Trust, or related capabilities)
  • Experience supporting hybrid enterprise environments
