About Us

Southeast Restoration & Fireproofing Co., Inc. (SERF) is a specialty construction contractor serving the Southeast. We specialize in waterproofing, fireproofing, air barriers, restoration, traffic coatings, expansion joints, and related construction services. We are seeking a dependable and organized Warehouse Worker to support our field operations and help keep projects running efficiently.


Position Summary

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for receiving, organizing, maintaining, and distributing construction materials, tools, and equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring field crews have the materials and equipment they need to complete projects safely and on schedule.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and unload deliveries.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse inventory.
  • Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming projects.
  • Load and unload company vehicles and trailers.
  • Track inventory levels and notify management when materials need to be reordered.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
  • Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate deliveries and pickups with project managers and superintendents.
  • Assist with jobsite deliveries as needed.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training provided if needed).
  • Keep records of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Assist with minor maintenance and repairs of tools and equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.


Qualifications

Required

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a pickup truck and trailer.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Construction industry experience.
  • Warehouse experience.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience tracking inventory.
  • Knowledge of construction tools, materials, and equipment.


Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders and access storage areas.
