Job description

Description

This position routinely conducts audits and testing of Browning and Winchester firearms, measures and analyzes firearm components to verify conformance with the Technical Data Package (TDP), and supports new product qualification activities. The role requires extensive hands-on firearms testing and shooting, including the operation of large-gauge shotguns and magnum-caliber firearms. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is also required.

Requirements

  1. Inspect incoming Browning and Winchester firearms to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards and prepare technical reports documenting inspection results.
  2. Operate precision metrology equipment, including but not limited to optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, force gauges, hardness testers, height gauges, borescopes, gauge pins, and headspace gauges.
  3. Collect, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, draw conclusions, and make timely, fact-based decisions.
  4. Accurately measure and convert dimensions between the U.S. Customary and Metric measurement systems.
  5. Perform Browning and SAAMI safety and security testing in accordance with established procedures.
  6. Build and maintain effective working relationships across departments to support quality and product validation activities.
  7. Conduct product testing at both on-site and off-site shooting ranges.
  8. Travel occasionally as required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and experience using precision metrology equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret Technical Data Packages (TDPs) for Browning and Winchester firearms.
