Job description

Join our team as a Firearms Associate and become a part of creating a safe, informed, and engaging shopping experience for firearm enthusiasts and customers alike. You will assist customers with firearm selections, provide expert product demonstrations, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Your enthusiasm for firearms and retail sales will help foster trust and confidence in our store while promoting responsible firearm handling and ownership. Duties

  • Greet customers and assist them in selecting firearms, accessories, and related products with expert knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels through merchandising, stocking, and inventory management to ensure a well-organized sales floor.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about firearm specifications, usage, and safety protocols.
  • Process transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with accuracy.
  • Upsell complementary products such as ammunition, cleaning supplies, or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance.
  • Ensure all firearm sales comply with federal, state, and local regulations by verifying proper identification.
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to strict safety standards during firearm handling and storage.
  • Engage in ongoing product knowledge development through training sessions and industry updates to stay current on firearms trends.

Qualifications

  • 21+ Years of age
  • Prior experience in retail sales or customer service
  • Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette to assist customers effectively over the phone.
  • Basic math skills including retail math for transactions and inventory management are essential.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures ensures smooth checkout processes.
  • Familiarity with firearm safety standards, regulations, and legal requirements is required or highly advantageous.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
  • Firearm experience and knowledge.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
