Sr. Process Engineer Job Summary

The Sr. Process Engineer is responsible for executing, stabilizing, and improving production processes on the shop floor. This role ensures manufacturing processes run as intended, production issues are resolved quickly, and improvements are implemented and sustained over time.


Sr. Process Engineer Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day process performance on the shop floor
  • Respond quickly to production issues and restore normal operation
  • Support operators and machinists in real-time problem solving
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events focused on improving manufacturing capabilities
  • Ensure adherence to standard work and process documentation
  • Provide hands-on training to operators and machinists
  • Identify root causes of recurring production issues
  • All other duties as assigned by management


Sr. Process Engineer Skills and Competencies

  • Working knowledge of CNC machining and assembly processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong hands-on problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable working on the shop floor daily
  • Strong communication with operators and supervisors

Sr. Process Engineer Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience in growing manufacturing and production environments
  • Hands-on experience supporting production operations
  • Experience resolving real production issues
  • Experience leading or supporting Kaizen events
  • Experience in precision manufacturing preferred

Sr. Process Engineer Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with required PPE including eye protection, hearing protection, and safety shoes. Ability to stand, walk, and lift materials as needed throughout the workday.
