Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and/or assist in blending and handling of bulk energetic powders
  • Track and document energetic powder inventory to meet production needs
  • Perform routine powder analysis, including calorimetry and particle size analysis
  • Maintain strict quality and safety standards throughout the powder blending process
  • Assist in developing manufacturing processes
  • Verify manufacturing processes using inspection techniques, data collection, measurement, as directed
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings and requirements
  • Work on tasks individually or as part of a team
  • Manage time efficiently to accomplish assigned tasks on time
  • Assist in process capability studies, efficiency studies, or other process engineering activities
  • Assist in process improvement efforts
  • Participate in FMEA, PFMEA, Design Review, and other Engineering activities/functions
  • Assist in Engineering Sustainment activities to support ongoing Manufacturing operations – to include but not limited to: restoring manufacturing processes to operation following failures, participating in process improvement efforts, providing training to others, updating process documentation, etc.
  • Provide information for documentation of new manufacturing processes
  • Participate in NPI (New Product Introduction) activities as necessary and as directed
  • Uphold Valor standards and specifications
  • Must meet Valor attendance requirements

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support NPI efforts as directed for entire product life cycle
  • Other duties as assigned

This position requires use of information and data which is subject to US Export Regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 C.F.R. 120 et seq., and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), 15 C.F.R. 730 et seq. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S Government.


Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder
  • Must pass all pre and post hire background checks
  • Must pass preemployment and subsequent drug screenings
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • Maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives “Employee Possessor” eligibility and Federal Prohibitor status regarding firearms
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Experience with basic fabrication
  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience working with propellants, explosives, metal forming, machining, electro-mechanical assembly, process development, welding, metal coatings, or chemical processes
  • Maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives “Employee Possessor” eligibility and Federal Prohibitor status regarding firearms
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment such as FDA, DoD, Aerospace, Automotive, or other
  • Associates of Science degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent industry experience in a related field

Physical Requirements:

  • RARE (less than 10%): crawling, climbing, gripping, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • OCCASSIONAL (up to 33%): standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reaching, range-of motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing.

This position works Monday - Thursday, 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
