Position Overview
The Lead Travel Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for leading the installation, inspection, testing, and servicing of fire alarm systems across multiple job sites. This is a travel-heavy role requiring a seasoned technician who can work independently, lead field crews, and ensure every job meets NFPA codes and local compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead installation, programming, and commissioning of fire alarm systems
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance in accordance with NFPA 72
  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems from a variety of manufacturers
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians in the field
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on job sites for project managers and customers
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes and AHJ requirements
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and project documentation
  • Coordinate travel schedules and communicate proactively with dispatch and project teams
  • Represent yourself and Fuze HR Solutions professionally on every job site
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of fire alarm technician experience, with lead or senior-level field experience preferred
  • NICET Level II certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements
  • Hands-on experience with major fire alarm platforms (Notifier, Simplex, EST, Honeywell, Bosch, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system schematics
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be comfortable with regional and national travel
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in industrial environments
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when necessary
