Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Suppression System Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience designing fire suppression systems and is proficient in AutoCAD for both 2D drawings and 3D modeling. Responsibilities:

  • Design wet, dry, pre-action, and clean agent fire suppression systems for complex commercial and mission-critical facilities
  • Produce accurate 2D construction drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, including layout plans, isometrics, riser diagrams, and hydraulic calculation documentation
  • Ensure all designs comply with NFPA 13, NFPA 12, NFPA 2001, and applicable local codes and standards
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, field installers, and other trades to ensure designs are buildable and meet client specifications
  • Coordinate with architects and mechanical/electrical teams during design development
  • Prepare submittal packages, as-built drawings, and design documentation for AHJ review and approval
  • Communicate design intent clearly to clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders
  • Stay current on code updates, new suppression technologies, and industry best practices

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fire suppression system design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and 3D modeling (2+ years required)
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 12, NFPA 2001, and related codes
  • Experience designing for commercial buildings is necessary.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic calculation software (HydraCALC, SprinkCALC, or similar)
  • Knowledge of clean agent suppression systems (FM-200, Novec 1230, CO2) and pre-action systems a plus
  • NICET certification a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work full-time, Mondayโ€“Friday, on-site in Denver, CO

Compensation & Benefits:
