Job description

Job Title: Fire Protection Engineer Location: Naperville, Illinois Type: Contract Work Model: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review fire protection systems designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to incorporate fire safety considerations into building plans.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments of existing fire protection systems.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports related to fire protection engineering.
  • Coordinate with clients, authorities, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IFC).
  • Previous experience in fire protection system design and assessment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
