Fire Protection Service Technicians (All levels needed!)

Summary:

As a Fire Protection Service Technician in the Fire Protection Industry, you will be responsible for the testing, troubleshooting, repair, programming, and maintenance of fire protection systems. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth operations by providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Technicians of all levels will be responsible for:

1. Inspection, Testing, and Servicing of Fire Protection Systems

  • Perform routine and annual inspections of fire protection systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs to keep equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues; report and execute necessary repairs or component replacements.
  • Program and configure various fire alarm control panels.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all inspections, maintenance activities, and corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, codes, and safety standards.

2. Compliance Documentation

  • Ensure all work meets federal, state, and local fire safety codes.
  • Maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting purposes.

3. Team Collaboration

  • Work with other technicians and service personnel on projects and emergency responses.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Provide system training and operational guidance to clients.

4. Communication:

  • Engage with clients to assess needs and provide expert recommendations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring satisfaction and system reliability.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • OSHA 10, NICET, and manufacturer experience preferred.
  • Regulation 4 certifications required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of various fire protection systems.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and programming software applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Reliable and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
