We have an exciting opportunity for aFire Protection Pre-Construction Sales Representative to be based in the Midwest. Remote work is ok with ability to travel as needed.

How you will contribute:
This is a great opportunity to showcase your Fire Protection knowledge to expand into a project development role for the Industrial Fire Protection product line. In this role you will play a key role in hazard analysis, developing protection criteria and scope of work for our customers as precursor to acquiring profitable industrial fire protection work for the company. You will facilitate solution development by working with customers and other internal Ahern team members. You will respond to customer requests to create protection options/solutions to finalize scope of work which estimates can be developed for. You will facilitate the development of comprehensive proposal narratives and project narratives with your internal team members. You will be responsible for providing timely and accurate estimates within the specifications and customer requirements of each project. This person is a technical expert and is therefore a key participant in bid/no bid decisions, in partnership with management.

What you need to qualify:
Ahern will help make the most of your Fire Protection Degree, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience, working in the Fire Sprinkler or Special Hazards product lines with application engineering experience. Prior experience designing and/or estimating industrial applications is also highly desirable. Experience may have been attained through other related roles such as project management, fire protection consulting, fire hazard risk analysis, or technical sales. Strong mathematical aptitude is essential. You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service, maintaining cutting edge industry knowledge and being able to execute tasks with a great amount of detail will be crucial.
