Job description

The Job

Integrated Restoration is hiring a dependable, hands-on general laborer to help families and businesses recover after water, fire, smoke, and mold damage. You will work with an experienced restoration team performing cleanup, selective demolition, equipment setup, and job-site support.

Restoration experience is helpful, but it is not required. We will train the right person who shows up, works safely, communicates well, and wants to build a skilled trade career.

What You Will Do

•      Respond to water, fire, smoke, sewage, storm, and mold losses at homes and commercial properties.

•      Perform water extraction and assist with structural drying, including moving contents and placing air movers, dehumidifiers, and air scrubbers.

•      Complete clean and selective demolition by removing damaged drywall, insulation, carpet and pad, flooring, trim, cabinets, and other affected materials as directed.

•      Assist with fire and smoke cleanup, including debris removal, HEPA vacuuming, surface cleaning, odor-control work, and protection of unaffected areas.

•      Build and maintain containments and assist with mold remediation using approved cleaning, removal, and disposal procedures.

•      Load, unload, clean, disinfect, move, and track tools and restoration equipment; help keep company vehicles and the warehouse clean, stocked, and ready.

•      Take job photos and help record work completed, moisture readings, equipment placement, and daily notes in company systems, including DASH and MICA.

•      Protect customer belongings, floors, walls, and unaffected areas; keep every job site clean and orderly.

•      Communicate respectfully with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and project managers, especially when conditions or the scope of work change.

•      Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, and immediately report hazards, damage, injuries, or unsafe conditions.

•      Help with other restoration, cleanup, warehouse, and property-protection duties as needed.

Schedule and On-Call Expectations

•      This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

•      Participation in a scheduled after-hours on-call rotation is required. The rotation can include evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.

•      When on call, you must answer promptly, remain fit and available for duty, and be able to report to the office or job site within the company's required emergency-response window.

•      Emergency losses are unpredictable. Some shifts may begin early, run late, or require overtime. Reliable transportation to the office and dependable attendance are essential.

What We Are Looking For

•      A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

•      No restoration experience required; experience in construction, demolition, cleaning, moving, landscaping, maintenance, warehouse work, or another hands-on field is a plus.

•      High school diploma or equivalent.

•      Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.

•      Ability to follow instructions, work independently when assigned, and contribute to a team.

•      Comfort using a smartphone or tablet for photos, timekeeping, messages, and basic job documentation.

•      Professional communication around customers who may be experiencing a stressful loss.

•      Willingness to complete company-paid training and pursue IICRC certification as you advance.

Physical and Work Conditions

•      Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and move heavier items with team assistance or proper equipment.

•      Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and ladders, and work in crawl spaces or other tight areas for extended periods.

•      Work in wet, dusty, dirty, hot, cold, humid, smoky, or unpleasant environments where property damage is active.

•      Wear protective equipment that may include gloves, protective clothing, eye protection, hearing protection, and a respirator. Respirator use requires applicable medical clearance and fit testing.

•      Safely use hand tools, demolition tools, extraction equipment, cleaning products, and restoration equipment after training.

What Success Looks Like

•      You arrive ready to work, on time, with the correct PPE and a team-first attitude.

•      You complete demolition and cleanup carefully without causing avoidable damage.

•      You keep equipment, vehicles, warehouse areas, and job sites clean and accounted for, and your assigned documentation is completed the same day.

•      Customers feel respected and informed, and supervisors do not have to chase you for updates.

•      You learn the science behind drying and remediation and grow toward independent technician work.

What We Offer

•      $17-$27 per hour based on relevant experience, certifications, and demonstrated skill.

•      Medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days of eligibility.

•      401(k) with company match and paid time off.

•      Company vehicles, fuel, tools, equipment, uniforms, and required PPE for work use.

•      Company-paid IICRC training and certification support, including WRT, ASD, and additional restoration credentials as appropriate.

•      A clear advancement path: General Laborer / Mitigation Trainee to Mitigation Technician, Lead Technician, and future Project Manager or Estimator opportunities.

•      A locally owned, 26-year Cleveland restoration company where dependable work and growth are noticed.
