JOB SUMMARY
  • Provide overall technical management on assigned project from bid preparation through final acceptance by client.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess working knowledge of construction management fundamentals and principles at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in construction management, engineering or related field; and
  • 3+ years of construction management, with an emphasis in low voltage projects
  • 3+ years of Integrated Systems experience such as fire alarm, voice/data, fiber optics, building automation systems, audio visual, CCTV, access control, intrusion and distributed antenna systems required
  • 3+ years of experience in various aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, estimating, schedules and safety required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • RCDD preferred
  • NICET fire alarm level 2 preferred
  • Familiarity with Accubid estimating software is preferred
  • System design capability in voice/data, fire alarm, security, and CCTV is preferred
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and supervisory skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide overall technical management on assigned project from bid preparation through final acceptance by client.
  • Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, electrical codes & standards, budget, and schedule.
  • Works closely with clients and/or owner’s representatives on assigned projects.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff.
  • Supervise craft employees by working closely with the on-site foreman. May have to supervise work of other contractors as required by the contract.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all project documentation including but not limited to correspondence, billing, purchase orders, change orders, submittals, schedules, etc.
  • Investigate any situations with potential project impacts, mitigate wherever possible and initiate correcting actions as necessary.
  • Provide technical assistance (i.e., interpretations of drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment, etc. as required).
  • Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
  • Responsible for productivity of crafts, efficient use of material and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
  • Ensure company’s safety initiatives are followed by all on-site employees.
  • Investigate, report, and correct any safety-related incidents.
  • Provide cost estimating, progress budgeting, change order pricing, and cost forecasting including monthly projections for low voltage projects.
  • Travel, either local or overnight, may be required and this position is required to drive.
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
