The selected candidate will provide support in both console operations and dispatching duties, and with the management of console area alarm systems. The candidate will be responsible for any one or all of the following:
The selected candidate will provide support in both console operations and dispatching duties, and with the management of console area alarm systems. The candidate will be responsible for any one or all of the following:
  • Monitor shall monitor alarms and video cameras and dispatch personnel to any situation that may arise throughout the shift, including, but not limited to: Security units, Fire units, Facilities personnel
  • Communications personnel, and any and all additional personnel as required to achieve a successful conclusion to a potentially disastrous or harmful situation

Required Education, Skills, and Experience
  • U.S Citizenship status is required
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment
  • High School Diploma
  • Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position
  • Must possess POST basic dispatcher certificate
  • Fast typing with experience in data entry
  • Knowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situations
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Active listener with excellent communication skills
  • Sound judgement and critical thinking

Physical Requirements
  • Meet minimum physical standards prescribed in the prevailing NASA/JPL Security Manual
