Job Title: Technical Product Owner (Documentation & Delivery)
Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Contract Length: 12 months (strong potential to extend to 24 months; possible conversion)
Pay Rate: $60/hr -$70/hr

Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to consult on complex software engineering initiatives. This role involves analyzing large-scale challenges, contributing to resolutions, and collaborating with client personnel. The position focuses on owning and defining the end-to-end documentation strategy for assigned product areas, ensuring content is accurate, scalable, and aligned with product updates.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and execute the documentation strategy across assigned product areas.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, job aids, FAQs, and API documentation.
  • Manage documentation repositories using Confluence and SharePoint.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Application Managers, and Engineers to gather requirements and ensure technical accuracy.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning and backlog refinement.
  • Create and manage user stories and documentation-related tasks in Jira.
  • Apply user-centered design principles to improve content usability.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in technical writing, product support, or project delivery.
  • 2+ years of Product Owner experience within Agile environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with API documentation and developer-facing content.
  • Experience working within Scrum/Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for tracking and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech environments.
  • Experience supporting developer tools or engineering platforms.
  • Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Scrum Certification, or PMP.
