RSM is seeking a Cloud & FinOps Manager with strong cloud modernization experience and a demonstrated ability to help clients govern, optimize, and extract financial value from their technology investments. This role is hands-on and client-facing, combining delivery leadership with FinOps expertise to guide organizations through migration, modernization, cost optimization, and ongoing value management.

The successful candidate will bring deep working knowledge of FinOps frameworks, cloud financial management, application modernization patterns, and emerging AI-enabled optimization techniques. This individual will lead complex client engagements, manage consulting teams, and partner closely with client finance and technology leaders to align cloud spend with business outcomes.

This is a delivery and growth-enabling role, with responsibility for owning engagement execution, developing repeatable solution approaches, and contributing to go-to-market offerings focused on FinOps, cost optimization, and cloud value realization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manager within the IC practice, this role is responsible for:

  • Leading multiple client engagements simultaneously, including cloud migration, modernization, and FinOps transformation initiatives

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to client technology and finance leaders, with a strong focus on cloud economics, cost transparency, and value realization

  • Designing and executing FinOps operating models, including cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and optimization

  • Translating technical architecture and usage patterns into business-aligned financial insights and recommendations

  • Supporting business development by identifying FinOps-led opportunities within existing and new client relationships

  • Partnering with cloud vendors and FinOps tooling providers to design and implement client solutions

  • Managing, mentoring, and developing consulting team members across geographies

  • Contributing to the development of repeatable FinOps and cloud value management offerings, reference architectures, and delivery accelerators

  • Collaborating across RSM service lines to integrate FinOps into broader cloud, AI, and managed services offerings

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience

  • Strong proficiency in FinOps frameworks, tools, and best practices

  • Experience across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments

  • Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to communicate technical concepts in business terms

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management capabilities

  • Ability to work effectively in distributed and virtual teams

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven experience implementing cloud cost management and optimization solutions

  • Strong understanding of technology financial management beyond cloud, including application and platform spend

  • Experience linking cloud spend to business KPIs, outcomes, and operating metrics

  • Experience with application portfolio assessment and migration planning

  • Familiarity with modernization and refactoring strategies informed by cost and value drivers

  • Experience leveraging automation to improve operational efficiency and cost controls

  • Working knowledge of current AI platforms and copilots as applied to cloud operations, cost analysis, and modernization

  • Hands-on exposure to tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar platforms

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $112,100 - $225,500

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
