Job description

Join our production team and help deliver high-quality finished metal products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Metals Finishing Operator to safely operate production machinery, handle customer products with care, and help ensure parts meet required specifications and tolerances. In this role, you will support daily production goals by inspecting equipment, operating machinery and forklifts, logging parts in our ERP system, and keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate production machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
  • Inspect equipment before use to confirm proper setup and alignment.
  • Perform basic routine adjustments and maintenance to keep equipment running efficiently.
  • Safely operate forklift trucks as needed.
  • Produce required quantities of parts while maintaining established specifications and tolerances.
  • Accurately log parts in the company ERP system, including Plex.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or process concerns promptly to supervisors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials or products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent use of hands to handle, feel, operate machinery, and use tools.
  • Regular reaching with hands and arms to position or adjust parts.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect finished parts, including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and remain focused in a production environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and production environment with exposure to machinery, moving mechanical parts, noise, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, and varying temperatures.
  • Noise levels are usually moderate to loud, and hearing protection may be required.
  • Protective clothing and/or personal protective equipment must be worn as required by the work environment or regulations.
  • Full-time role with shift assignments; hours and days may vary based on production schedules.
