The Opportunity:

As a Lead Carpenter, you will serve as the primary skilled tradesperson on-site, executing advanced carpentry while guiding daily field operations for your crew. You will have the unique opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship and mentor junior team members in a supportive environment that prioritizes streamlined, efficient projects. This role allows you to grow your leadership skills with an organization that believes in keeping the construction process simple.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Perform high-quality framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, trim work, millwork, and specialty installations.
  • Lead, mentor, and direct small crews of carpenters, laborers, and apprentices on daily field tasks.
  • Coordinate daily work activities closely with the project Foreman, Superintendent, and office management.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe job site by strictly enforcing safety rules and company protocols.
  • Interpret construction drawings, elevations, plans, and specifications to ensure exact material installations.
  • Proactively identify material needs, complete punch-list items, and support final project closeout activities.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of residential or commercial carpentry experience.
  • Strong ability to follow professional direction and successfully execute project-specific tasks.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and general construction equipment.
  • Proven track record of listening to field leadership and maintaining a safe, collaborative work environment.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience leading and mentoring junior carpenters or apprentices in a field setting.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed construction drawings and scopes of work.
  • Proven capability to transition smoothly between framing and high-end finish carpentry work.
