Role Description The Carpenter role at Lunko Realty LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Huntsville, AL. This role is responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structural and finish elements in residential and commercial properties, including framing, trim, doors, windows, and cabinetry. Day-to-day tasks include reading blueprints or work orders, measuring and cutting materials, operating hand and power tools, and completing both rough and finish carpentry work according to building codes and company standards. The Carpenter will also perform repairs for occupied units and common areas, collaborate with other trades and property staff to complete renovation projects, and ensure work areas are clean, safe, and organized. This position requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Strong general Carpentry skills, including construction, installation, and repair of structural components.
  • Proficiency with Power Tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns, used safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with Framing work for walls, floors, and ceilings, following plans and building codes.
  • Skilled use of Hand Tools including hammers, levels, tape measures, chisels, and squares for precise work.
  • Ability to perform Finish Carpentry, including trim, molding, doors, and detailed interior woodwork.
  • Knowledge of building codes, jobsite safety practices, and proper material handling.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and written work orders.
  • Reliable transportation to Huntsville, AL worksites and readiness for physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, standing).
  • Previous experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial property settings; relevant certifications or apprenticeship training are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
