Job description

Salary: $200/day

Ridgeview Classical Schools is seeking interested and qualified candidates for a short-term substitute teacher to cover one of its upper school History positions for the period of August 19th-September 18th, 2026. This position includes both middle and high school core classes as well as a daily Chambers session.


Highly qualified candidates will demonstrate a willingness and ability to maintain continuity of instruction in the classroom by delivering lessons according to plans, adhering to school policies and procedures, maintaining classroom decorum, and maintaining the gradebook and parental communications as necessary.


Minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in history or a related field (archeology, economics, political science, etc.),
  • Full availability (M-F) during the period of time listed above,
  • Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting in accordance with applicable district, state, and federal laws.


Upon completion of this short-term position, a hire may choose to enter Ridgeview's regular substitute pool for the remainder of the academic year as a "Tier 1" substitute, compensated at the rate of $100/half day (up to four hours) and $200/full day (4+ hours).
