About the Opportunity:
Part Time - Seasonal Maintenance at Anna Ruby Falls
FIND has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time - Seasonal Maintenance position at Anna Ruby Falls. FIND Outdoors is a 49 year old non-profit located in Pisgah Forest, NC who promotes educational, recreational and interpretive opportunities about forest and water resources, natural history, and the Cradle of Forestry in America. FIND Outdoors serves approximately 800,000 visitors each year with over 150 educational and recreational programs, special events, and tours, and manages 21 recreation, education and camping facilities in North Carolina, and Georgia; offers to the public environmental education programs and forest-related gifts, educational books and other resources; and provides partnership opportunities for the health, safety and education of all forest users on local and regional public and private lands. This role will focus day to day maintenance and upkeep of the entire Brasstown Bald Visitor Center Complex.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all facilities and equipment and to maintain the site grounds in a neat, attractive and safe manner.
  • Will perform general duties such as mowing, weed eating, leaf blowing, washing picnic tables, interior and exterior painting, removing graffiti, emptying trash/recycling containers and cleaning grills.
  • Will clean bathrooms daily per the schedule provided by site manager. Perform routine spot cleaning and service bathrooms for toilet paper and soap as needed throughout the day. Inspect toilets, urinals and sinks daily to ensure proper function.
  • Responsible for routine inspection of all equipment and facilities
  • Will keep trails free of debris and vegetation.
  • Fee collection and other duties as assigned by Site Manager.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
