Description
Interclypse is seeking a Financial Consultant to assist federal civilian agencies by providing financial management, accounting, and project management type capabilities. This role will require customer-facing collaboration focused on creating methodologies and approaches to prevent, detect, or correct audit concerns across the enterprise. This position is 100% onsite at the customer location.
Responsibilities will consist of, but not limited to, the following:
  • Reconcile budget authority issued to agency as directed by external bodies (e.g., Treasury, DoD)
  • Create budget line items and accounting templates
  • Support financial and budgetary, information technology, and operational transformation initiatives
  • Implement process improvement to eliminate accounting errors and influence a greater understanding of the budgetary process
  • Provide summary recommendations to team leadership regarding assigned work stream(s)
  • Oversee fund balance initiatives to meet obligations
  • Integrate financial data in support of budget creation process
  • Update/create budget authority tracker based on pro-rated amounts as determined by continuing resolutions (CR) to balance cash availability to support contract obligations

This project's period of performance goes until 2029, and will enable team members the opportunity to potentially support other aspects of financial management based on the team's wide-ranging responsibilities as needs arise (e.g., financial statements, internal controls, property accounting, audit liaison).
Requirements
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Accounting, Finance, or Business Related Degree
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Certifications: CPA, CGFM, CDFM, PMP, CISA, CIA
