Job description

Job Summary: The Financial Analyst 3-Financial Planning & Analysis provides provides comprehensive and coordinated financial analysis services. Assists in the investment and financial analysis process by analyzing available data to forecast business, industry or economic conditions. Prepares action plans or presentations used to provide recommendations to department heads and administrative leadership regarding future investments and financial status. Uses analysis to identify and implement financial improvement initiatives. Provides expert financial advice through detailed analysis. Leads assigned projects efficiently and with minimum supervision. Analyzes institutional and industry trends to assist with maximizing the effectiveness of FP&A services.  Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree or financial relevant certification required. Minimum five years financial analysis or related experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to extract data from multiple financial systems and manipulates with ease and accuracy. Strong Skills in at least one of the following: Problem Solving, Project Management, Financial or Accounting Reporting, Statistical Analysis, Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI/Tableau), or SQL. Able to read, write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), any other financial relevant certification or Master's Degree required.
