Job description

Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team within a growing real estate organization. This role will be responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements, managing financial reporting and disclosures, supporting SEC and REIT reporting requirements, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting foundation, experience preparing financial statement footnotes and cash flow statements, and a background in public accounting. This position offers visibility across multiple entities and the opportunity to work closely with leadership on complex accounting and reporting matters. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for multiple legal entities. Assist with the preparation of external financial reporting packages, including footnotes and supporting disclosures. Prepare and review statements of cash flows and related supporting schedules. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. Support quarterly and annual reporting requirements, including coordination with external auditors. Research and document technical accounting issues, accounting pronouncements, and reporting implications. Perform account reconciliations, fluctuation analyses, and reporting reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Support internal controls and help maintain compliance with financial reporting standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, tax, and operational teams. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Public accounting experience required. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience preparing consolidated financial statements for multiple entities. Experience preparing financial statement footnotes and disclosures. Strong understanding of statement of cash flows and financial statement presentation. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications CPA license or active pursuit of CPA preferred. Experience within a REIT or publicly traded company environment preferred. Real estate industry experience strongly preferred. Exposure to SEC reporting and technical accounting research a plus.
