Job description

The Financial Reporting Analyst owns and elevates LERETA's financial reporting environment, sitting at the intersection of financial reporting, planning systems, and automation. The role is technically strong, forward-thinking, and detail-oriented, with the analytical depth and communication skills required to translate complex financial data into clear, decision-ready insights for leadership. The position works closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and cross-functional business partners to build and maintain LERETA's reporting infrastructure in Workday Adaptive Planning, leveraging AI and modern data tooling to connect disparate data sources, reduce manual effort, and continuously re-engineer how reporting gets done.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Adaptive Ownership
  • Build, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and models in Workday Adaptive Planning, including Office Connect and Adaptive reporting.
  • Own the design and delivery of recurring monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for management, the board, and lenders.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all financial outputs and reconcile results to the general ledger.
  • Develop and maintain Adaptive metadata, dimensions, and data integrations to keep the reporting environment scalable and reliable.

Automation & AI-Enabled Insights
  • Support efforts to connect data sources across ERP, planning, and operational systems, using automation and AI tools to reduce manual data pulls and reconciliation over time.
  • Contribute to building automated data workflows that streamline the close-to-report cycle and increase reporting speed.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to help surface trends, anomalies, and drivers in financial analysis, delivering faster and richer insights for stakeholders.
  • Help identify and reduce manual, repetitive reporting tasks, bringing a continuous-improvement mindset to how the work gets done.

Analysis & Business Support
  • Deliver variance analysis (budget vs. actual, period-over-period) with clear narrative commentary for leadership.
  • Work directly with business partners across functions to gather operational context and insights, translating them into accurate forecasts and reporting.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support fast-paced decision-making.

Data Integrity & Process Improvement
  • Serve as a steward for data quality across reporting systems, ensuring source-to-report traceability.
  • Document reporting processes and build repeatable, well-controlled workflows.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to reporting architecture, tools, and controls.

This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.
Salary range: $85,337-$110,000

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial reporting, FP&A, accounting, or a similar analytical role
  • Hands-on experience building out Workday Adaptive Planning reports and models is required, including report design, dashboards, and integrations
  • Demonstrated aptitude for and interest in applying AI, automation, or data-integration tools to connect data sources and reduce manual reporting. Direct hands-on experience is a plus, but a proven willingness to learn and adopt these tools is what matters most
  • Proven experience partnering with cross-functional business leaders to collect insights and drive collaborative forecasting
  • Highly proficient in Excel; experience with SQL, Python, or modern data/BI tools, including Data Warehouse/Data Lake is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, GAAP fundamentals, and the month-end close cycle
