Who you are:
As an Enterprise Risk Liaison with Frost, you are our risk navigator. In this role, you will act as the primary Enterprise risk contact for Frost lines of business. You will use your attention to detail and collaboration skills to review results, develop key risk and key performance indicators, and develop new risk initiatives. More than that, this role is about constant improvement and doing so with our signature all-win approach in mind.
What you'll do:
  • Support second line oversight of financial risks (e.g., interest rate, liquidity, capital) by reviewing methodologies, assumptions, and reporting for alignment with risk appetite and regulatory expectations
  • Act as the primary Enterprise Risk contact for lines of business
  • Assist in the identification, assessment, management, and reporting of risk events, assessment issues, and breaches of key risk indicators
  • Coordinate completion of periodic risk self-assessments with line of business manager
  • Review self-assessment results to determine whether the proper risks are identified and to verify the effectiveness of risk controls
  • Collaborate with lines of business to develop key risk and key performance indicators covering related risk domains, as defined in the Enterprise Risk Management framework
  • Develop a deep understanding of line of business needs and promote awareness of the importance of strong risk management practices and effective controls
  • Track remediation plans on material risk events and issues, and ensure that issues are closed
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management team members to develop new risk initiatives in response to the dynamic regulatory environment
  • Balance enterprise risk requirements with efficient business operations
  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or relevant field
  • 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with practical knowledge of risk reporting and key risk indicators
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Strong analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications

Additional Preferred Skills:
  • 3+ years of financial risk management experience in a mid-size to large financial institution
  • Knowledge of GRC software solutions
