Financial Reporting Manager

Downers Grove, IL | 3 days in the office, 2 days work from home


We’re looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join a high-performing Corporate Controllership team. Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Reporting & Consolidations, this role offers the opportunity to lead key external reporting processes, manage and develop a team, partner with senior leadership, and play an important role in the company’s ongoing financial reporting transformation.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from a Big 4/public accounting background or public-company financial reporting environment who wants to take on greater ownership, leadership responsibility, and exposure across the organization.


Qualifications:

  • Lead the preparation, review, and filing of 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and 8-Ks, ensuring high-quality reporting and compliance with tight deadlines.
  • Manage two U.S.-based direct reports and provide oversight and guidance to an offshore Lease Center of Excellence team.
  • Partner closely with teams across Corporate Accounting, Consolidations, Technical Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, Legal, HR, and Segment Finance.
  • Support quarterly earnings reporting, including earnings releases, presentations, and investor materials.
  • Serve as a key resource for complex accounting and reporting matters, including share-based compensation, EPS, debt, hedge accounting, and other technical accounting topics.
  • Research accounting guidance and develop technical accounting memos, policies, and documentation.
  • Lead the implementation of new accounting standards, SEC requirements, and disclosure enhancements.
  • Maintain and enhance the company’s accounting policies and reporting processes.
  • Partner with external auditors throughout the annual audit and quarterly reporting cycles.
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and financial reporting transformation initiatives.
  • Review XBRL reporting and support other high-impact accounting and reporting projects.
  • Mentor and develop team members while helping build a strong, collaborative Financial Reporting organization.


Responsibilities:

  • 6+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience
  • Active CPA required
  • Strong experience with SEC reporting and technical accounting
  • Public accounting and public-company experience preferred
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor others
  • Strong communication and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and partnering with senior leaders
  • Highly analytical, collaborative, and solutions-oriented
  • Advanced Excel skills and an interest in leveraging technology and automation
  • Experience with Workiva and/or OneStream is a plus
