Description


The Corporate Development Associate plays a key role in supporting the organization's strategic growth initiatives through mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships. This position is responsible for assisting with acquisition sourcing, financial modeling, market analysis, valuation support, due diligence coordination, and transaction execution. The Associate partners closely with executive leadership, Finance, Operations, Legal, Human Resources, IT, and Clinical Operations to evaluate and execute physician practice and clinic acquisitions while helping build a robust pipeline of future opportunities.

This role combines analytical expertise with relationship management and project coordination and is ideal for a professional interested in healthcare strategy, finance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Valuation

  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate acquisition opportunities. 
  • Analyze historical financial statements, productivity reports, payer mix, provider compensation, and operational metrics. 
  • Assist in preparing valuation analyses and investment recommendations. 
  • Perform sensitivity analyses and return-on-investment projections. 
  • Develop executive summaries and presentations for senior leadership and investment committees. 
  • Monitor acquisition pipeline metrics and forecast future growth opportunities.

Due Diligence & Transaction Support

  • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence activities following execution of Letters of Intent (LOIs). 
  • Organize financial, operational, legal, compliance, IT, and human resources due diligence documentation. 
  • Track due diligence requests and ensure timely completion of deliverables. 
  • Prepare diligence summaries and identify potential transaction risks. 
  • Coordinate internal meetings and maintain acquisition project timelines. 
  • Support drafting and review of transaction documentation in partnership with Legal. 
  • Assist with closing activities and transaction execution.

Integration Support

  • Collaborate with teams to support successful onboarding of acquired clinics. 
  • Coordinate transition activities between Corporate Development and operational leaders. 
  • Monitor integration milestones and report progress. 
  • Assist in documenting lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities.


Deal Sourcing & Business Development

  • Identify and research physician practices, clinics, and healthcare organizations that align with the company's acquisition strategy. 
  • Assist with proactive outreach to physicians, practice owners, brokers, consultants, and other referral sources. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective acquisition targets and strategic partners. 
  • Attend industry conferences, networking events, and healthcare association meetings to identify new opportunities. 
  • Maintain an active pipeline of acquisition opportunities within the CRM system. 
  • Perform market research and competitive analyses to identify geographic expansion opportunities.


Reporting & Strategic Planning

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and acquisition databases. 
  • Prepare monthly pipeline reports and acquisition dashboards. 
  • Support annual strategic planning initiatives through market and financial analyses. 
  • Assist leadership with presentations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

 Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Economics, or related field required.
  • 2-5 years' experience in one or more of the following:
  • Corporate Development

  • Investment Banking 
  • Private Equity 
  • Healthcare Consulting 
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) 
  • Business Development
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. 
  • Working knowledge of business valuation methodologies. 
  • Understanding of mergers and acquisitions processes. 
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and operational metrics. 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. 
  • Experience with CRM software and project management tools. 
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
