We are always looking for talented individuals seeking to build a career and join the Wixon family. Wixon has an immediate opening for Financial Operations Analyst in our Accounting Department.

The Financial Operations Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing performance reporting. This role manages standard costing processes, analyzes cost variances, and collaborates with operations and purchasing teams to support informed financial decisions and improve cost control across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update material, labor, and overhead standards within the ERP system to ensure accurate product costing.
  • Review and update production routings to reflect process changes, labor requirements, and efficiency improvements.
  • Support the commercialization process by preparing and maintaining cost files for new product items.
  • Calculate annual labor and overhead rates and assist with implementing updated standards across the organization.
  • Perform material, labor, and overhead variance analysis and identify key drivers behind cost and performance trends.
  • Partner with operations and purchasing teams to investigate variances, negative margins, and resolve costing or operational issues.
  • Analyze inventory fluctuations and reconcile related balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Reconcile payroll hours to work order hours and provide efficiency and utilization insights to management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or cost accounting environment.
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, routings, and inventory accounting.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
