Job description

Manager II Financial Operations Department - Subrogation

Location: Candidates that reside in Kentucky or Wisconsin are preferred.

Hybrid: This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Manager II Financial Operations Department is responsible for managing the daily operations of a recovery team in the area of Subrogation. The recovery team specializes in TPL recoveries, so experience in that area is preferred. The manager is responsible for meeting team recovery targets and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and procedures related to Subrogation.

How you will make an impact:

  • Maintains high production standards, achieving subrogation recovery goals, anticipating industry trends and improving existing processes.

  • Develops staffing models to meet needs of current and future business lines.

  • Anticipates problems and opportunities within the units managed and determines resolutions.

  • Acts as a mentor for others.

  • Creates and develops partnerships with other departments including Finance, Intake, Training, Quality, Legal and Data Analysis.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires minimum of 5 years' experience with operations, financial reporting and analysis, audit guidelines, budgeting and multi-state operations and processes and minimum of 3 years management experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Experience with Healthcare Subrogation operations preferred.

  • Experience with complex business environments including multiple entity and highly automated situations preferred.

  • Preferred 3 years' experience in TPL-specific recovery activity.
