Financial Operations Representative

Locations: Kansas City, MO or Denver, CO (hybrid)

About the Role

This role will work closely with reconciliation teams to research and resolve breaks identified during daily bank and transaction reconciliations across various fund companies. The position will partner with cross-functional teams to investigate discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure accurate and timely processing. Must be willing to work on site at least 6 days/month and the hours of 8 AM - 5 PM Central Time

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Manages a queue of reconciliation exceptions identified during daily bank and transaction reconciliations, ensuring timely research and resolution.
  • Communicates resolution details to reconciliation teams once items are resolved.
  • Serves as an escalation point for more complex reconciliation issues and provides guidance to support timely resolution.
  • Prioritizes workflow and ensures processing standards, service levels, and client expectations are consistently met.
  • identifies, develops, and implements process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Minimizes open items by conducting root cause/trend analysis and works with internal teams to reduce/eliminate recurrence.
  • Creates and maintains process documentation and procedures to support consistent operations.
  • Trains and guides associates within direct team by sharing job knowledge and best practices

RequiredExperience

  • High school or equivalent required and Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Must have 2+ years experience financial operations, banking, reconciliation, or a related financial services environment.

  • Experience researching and resolving reconciliation discrepancies, exceptions, or operational issues.

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and follow through to resolution.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams.

  • Proven ability to document processes and procedures clearly.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Must be willing to work on site at least 6 days/month and the hours of 8 AM - 5 PM Central Time.
