Major Contracting is seeking a high-caliber Construction Operations Coordinator & Office Admin to serve as the organizational backbone of our expanding civil construction firm in Detroit. This is a pivotal role designed for a versatile professional who excels in high-pressure environments and masters the balance of office logistics, client relations, and financial administration.

In this position, you will act as the strategic link between our field crews, executive leadership, and valued vendors. We are looking for a "multitasker-in-chief" who can streamline workflows, manage critical project documentation, and ensure our administrative engine runs as precisely as our field operations.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be essential to the daily rhythm and long-term organization of the company:

  • Office Logistics & Administration: Direct daily business operations, including high-level email management, complex scheduling, and comprehensive administrative support.

  • Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary liaison for clients and vendors, ensuring professional, clear, and timely communication that upholds our company’s reputation.

  • Financial Administration (Light Bookkeeping): Execute essential accounting support, including AP/AR processing, invoice entry, and assisting with financial reconciliations.

  • Project Document Control: Establish and maintain rigorous filing systems for construction contracts, job-site documentation, and vendor compliance records.

  • Operations & Dispatch Support: Facilitate the communication flow between office and field teams, assisting with meeting coordination and job scheduling.

  • Supply Chain Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure accurate ordering, invoicing, and documentation for project materials.

  • Facilities Management: Oversee office inventory and organization while providing executive-level administrative assistance to the leadership team.
