Reports to: Operations Manager

Hours per Week: 38 - Hourly Position 

Pay: $23-$27/hour

Position Summary

Primary responsibilities include providing operational support to both members and employees, including imaging, ACH, ATM operations, IRA administration, share draft processing, wire processing, Check 21 processing, Faster Payments, RDC and iPay support, safe deposit box, and deceased account maintenance. Hours for this position are based on departmental needs. This is an in-office position.


Essential Functions & Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for all related processes which impact member accounts to ensure quality and efficiency in service to our members. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Image and maintain member, loan, IRA, collections, and transaction documentation.
  • Process domestic and international wire transfers and maintain required logs and records.
  • Cross train and provide backup support for other Operations Coordinators.
  • Process daily share draft and cash letter files.
  • Perform Check 21 processing and related operational functions.
  • Develop expertise in the laws of check processing and the rules established in the UCC (Uniform Commercial Code).
  • Assist in the processing and balancing of ACH.
  • Balancing and reconciling assigned general ledgers.
  • Assist frontline staff with IRA administration and complete back-office processing, including annual reporting requirements.
  • Balance Financial Plus ATMs settlement.
  • Review and process iPay and RDC applications in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support safe deposit box administration.
  • Perform deceased account maintenance.
  • Enforces compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) requirements, and should request legal interpretation as necessary to identify compliance concerns.
  • All employees adhere to applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and internal compliance with standard polices relevant to their roles and responsibilities.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education & Qualifications

High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Knowledge of deposit operations, payment processing, ATM services, wire transfers, IRA administration, ACH processing, Check 21 processing, account maintenance processes, operational compliance requirements, fraud prevention practices, risk mitigation techniques, accounting principles, balancing procedures, and general ledger reconciliation. Experience with Alloya, the Federal Reserve, and related financial services platforms is preferred.


Accreditations

The following accreditations are preferred but not required.

  • National Check Professional (NCP)
  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP)
  • Accredited Faster Payments Professional (AFPP)
