This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced corporate actions and dividends professional to join our Financial Operations team in Chicago or New York. You'll join a growing team scaling Jump's Financial Operations function, with a meaningful role in shaping our systems and processes. You'll collaborate broadly across Treasury, Clearing, Finance, Tax, and the trading community - and will be expected to proactively identify tangible opportunities to improve how we operate. This role reports to the Global Head of Financial Operations.
What You'll Do:
  • Build out and maintain lifecycle event processing and associated broker reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve breaks identified through daily and monthly reconciliation processes.
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and partner with technology teams to design and implement solutions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Jump's back-office infrastructure, identifying value-add opportunities to further leverage existing systems and tools.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with back-office, technology, and other internal stakeholders to drive operational excellence.
  • Document and formalize processes and procedures to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Serve as an escalation point for finance operational issues, driving timely resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.

Skills You'll Need:
  • A background in corporate actions and dividends with strong weight placed on a candidate with global experience.
  • Deep asset class knowledge across equities, swaps, corporate bonds, convertible bonds, etc.
  • Strong project management and business analysis experience within trade operations.
  • Experience leveraging technology, automation, and/or AI tools to improve operational processes.
  • Comfort reviewing large sets of data with limited direction.
  • Accomplished communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English (written and verbal) to both internal and external contacts on a global basis.
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related fields.
  • Reliable and consistent availability during the US trading day to support time-sensitive operational processes.
  • 5+ years of work experience, preferably in a trade operations or reconciliation role.
  • Experience managing a small team and/or function is a plus.
