Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

OptiTrack is seeking a Finance Manager to lead our finance department. In this role, you’ll manage and mentor a team, as well as work with counterpart finance professionals within the company’s parent organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all core accounting functions. As a key member of the organization, the Finance Manager will partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, streamline processes, and support OptiTrack’s continued growth.This position is based in Corvallis, Oregon, with a preference for working onsite five days per week. A hybrid arrangement may be considered for highly qualified candidates who reside outside the immediate Corvallis area.

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the finance department to support business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Assign and oversee daily responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all functions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and team productivity across the finance function.
  • Partner with leadership and other departments to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Design financial forecasts that allow business owners to understand the financial impact of their decisions.
  • Manage vendor invoice processing, including entry of A/P information into Microsoft D365. Resolve discrepancies and issues proactively.
  • Manage customer relationships, billing and accounts. Ensure outgoing invoices are processed appropriately. Follow up with customers on outstanding balances.
  • Help maintain accounting systems, including Journal Entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and related processes.
  • Review and approve revenue reports for internal and external use.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and support audit readiness.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent specializing in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • 4 + years of related work experience
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team
  • Demonstrated understanding of key financial and accounting processes
  • Working knowledge of Planful, Essbase, or equivalent forecasting software preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft D365 or similar ERP system preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Physical ability to use computer hardware/software required
  • Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.). Long hours on computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
  • Some travel may be required
